Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL) is going in for the kill now,
after winning a favourable
verdict from the jury in a San Jose federal court last Friday, in its
patent dispute with Samsung.
The iPhone maker gave a wish list of all the Samsung
devices it wants the court to ban from being sold in the United States.
Apple sued Samsung in April 2011 saying that the
Korean company has copied the designs of its smartphone and tablets and used
that to build its Galaxy range of smartphones that have become popular
globally.
Judge Lucy Koh has set a hearing on September 20 for
delivering her verdict on the ban.
On Monday Apple submitted the Samsung products that it
wants out: Galaxy S 4G, Galaxy S2 AT&T, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S2 T-Mobile,
Galaxy S2 Epic 4G, Galaxy S Showcase, Droid Charge and Galaxy Prevail.

Earlier in June, Koh had banned Samsung's Galaxy Tab
10.1 saying that it violated design patents. The Korean handset maker wants
that ban to be lifted after the jury in its findings said that the tablet PC
had not violated that particular patent, though in general Samsung was found to
have violated three of Apple’s software patents, especially relating to the
`bounce-back' feature and pinch-to-zoom feature.
Samsung has also asked for more time to prepare for
the hearing and the court is debating whether to extend the date to allow the
Korean company more time. Samsung plans task the judge to reverse the verdict
and if it is unsuccessful in that to appeal against the verdict.
Apart from the sales ban, Apple is also planning to
ask the court to triple the damages it was awarded to $3.15 billion since the
jury found that Samsung had wilfully copied its designs.
